What Is The Definition Of Quadrant?
Quadrant – Definition

In dentistry, Quadrant refers to the division of the jaws into four parts, beginning at the midline of the arch and extending towards the last tooth in the back of the mouth. There are four quadrants in the mouth where each quadrant generally contains five to eight teeth. The quadrants are formed by an imaginary line called the midline that passes between the central incisors in each arch and divides the arch in half. There are four quadrants in the mouth (two per arch) that divide the mouth into four equal parts.
