What Is The Definition Of Kaposi Sarcoma?
Kaposi Sarcoma – Definition

In the health care industry, Kaposi Sarcoma is a cancer that develops in connective tissues such as cartilage, bone, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or fibrous tissues (related to tendons or ligaments). Kaposi Sarcoma causes red or purple patches (lesions) on the skin and/or mucous membranes and spreads to other organs in the body, such as the lungs, liver, or intestinal tract. Kaposi Sarcoma is not considered curable. Neither surgical removal of the first-detected lesion nor obtaining a complete remission with chemotherapy or other techniques results in cure. However, long-term survival does occur in patients, both with or without treatment.
