Impression – Definition
In dentistry, an Impression is mold made of the teeth and soft tissues. It is essentially a negative of the mouth into which plaster or dental stone is placed in order to made an accurate copy of the mouth. Impressions are used to make crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, some fillings, and study models for educational purposes.
