What Is The Definition Of Cleaning?
Cleaning – Definition

In dentistry, Cleaning refers to the removal of plaque and tarter (calculus) from teeth, generally above the gum line in order to prevent cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease. Dental cleaning and polishing essentially leaves the surfaces of the teeth clean and smooth so that bacteria are unable to stick to them and you have a better chance of keeping your teeth clean during your regular home care. Regular dental cleanings are important, not only for looks, but for good oral hygiene and general health as well.
