What Is The Definition Of Bite-Wing?
Bite-Wing – Definition

In dentistry, Bite-Wing X-rays are some of the most typical X-rays a Dentist will take to find cavities between your teeth, worn out fillings, receding bone levels caused by periodontal disease, tarter on the roots, as well as other conditions. So called Bite-wing because the X-ray film holder provides a surface to bite down on and hold the X-ray securely in place. Bite-wing X-rays are a necessary part of regular dental checkups.
