What Is The Definition Of Abscess?
Abscess – Definition

In dentistry, an Abscess is a pocket or sack of pus and gas surrounded by inflamed tissue that is produced by an infection. It can be very painful when pressure builds up. Abscesses are usually caused by specific microorganisms that invade the tissues, often by way of small wounds or breaks in the skin. Small abscesses may be helped by applying warm compresses to the area several times a day. This will sometimes promote spontaneous drainage of the abscess, which is important since the primary treatment of abscesses is to drain them. You should seek the advice of your Dentist if you have an Abscess.
